Sales Manager

Location: Theale, Reading, Berkshire

Salary: Competitive + pension + generous bonus and commission package

Established in 1997, House of Fisher Ltd is a serviced accommodation market leader, providing high quality serviced apartments across the Thames Valley. Due to continuing expansion we are seeking to recruit a Sales Manager to grow new revenue streams and develop existing partnerships for the business across the Thames Valley and surrounding areas.

As a key member of the Business Development team, you will be responsible for proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities and building relationships with multiple stakeholders. 

Your commercial awareness will support in the development and implementation of a new business sales strategy that delivers sustainable business growth.

Working with a framework of agreed sales targets you will demonstrate proven ability to successfully manage the sales process; thereon in customer retention will be key.  You will be a passionate, driven professional with flair, and a genuine desire to deliver exceptional customer service. Numerical and planning skills are required with the ability to analyse and apply commercial data to support and drive business decisions.

You will have a proven track record of success in new business development and the ability to translate business strategy into day to day delivery. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential together with the ability to liaise confidently at every level. Experience within the serviced accommodation industry would be an advantage, as would familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Head Housekeeper

House of Fisher is a successful, expanding company in the emerging serviced-apartment/apart-hotel market providing flexible-stay accommodation for the corporate sector.  We are one of the largest operators of premium serviced apartments in Berkshire and the South East. 

We are looking for a strong candidate who can implement positive change, procedures and future projects, creating an efficient and dynamic department.

Based at our apart-hotel in central Reading the Head Housekeeper will oversee our property portfolio throughout the Thames Valley area.   This is a great opportunity for an experienced, customer-focused individual to join our friendly team. 

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will take full responsibility for the housekeeping function; a team of in-house cleaners servicing 12 sites and approximately 200 apartments within a 30-mile radius of Reading.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities will include

  • Management of a dedicated and enthusiastic housekeeping team of up to 20 people
  • Monitoring and implementing excellent cleaning standards throughout the property portfolio by conducting regular checks
  • Regular training including Health and Safety, mentoring and reviewing all members of the team
  • Liaison with head-office/reservations team to ensure changes of cleaning schedules are actioned as appropriate
  • Liaison with guest services/maintenance teams to ensure maintenance issues are promptly resolved
  • Stock control of linen and cleaning materials, including purchasing and sourcing suppliers
  • Develop and maintain good relations with suppliers and other partnerships
  • Checking and auditing of apartment inventories
  • Responsibility of the recruitment of housekeeping staff
  • Enforcing Health & Safety procedures at all times
  • Administration tasks to include organising rotas, creating spreadsheets and planning meetings.

Personal Specification

  • Proven people-management and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to monitor and manage a budget and  implement projects and future strategies
  • Experience of managing housekeeping staff in multiple locations would be a distinct advantage
  • Hands-on approach and be prepared to lead by example
  • Strong customer service ethic and customer facing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Confident interacting effectively and professionally with both colleagues and guests at all levels. 
  • Car with a full driving licence is also required.

This role is 40 hours per week over five days and may include some weekend work; flexibility in working pattern will be required. 

A competitive salary, bonus scheme and benefits are available to the right candidate. Position available from April 2017.

 

Painter and Decorator

Reporting to the Head of Maintenance you will responsible for painting and decorating the House of Fisher portfolio over 13 sites, totalling almost 200 apartments within a 30-mile radius of Reading.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Apply paint to furniture and structures
  • Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior surfaces.
  • Fill walls and apply silicon to baths, showers and sinks
  • Read blueprints and drawings of the premise for the execution of painting job
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of paint codes and colours
  • Manage paint supplies and materials
  • Assist the maintenance team with ad hoc duties

 

Personal Specification 

  • Excellent eye for detail and perfectionist attitude
  • Experience in multiple locations would be a distinct advantage
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service ethic and customer facing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Confident with interacting effectively and professionally with both colleagues and clients at all levels. 
  • A full driving licence is essential for this role due to travel to multiple locations.
